Alpaca Speed Painting in Photoshop
Alpacas am I right? So cute and adorable. They’re the angels of the llama family. Funny thing is, before moving to Colorado, I had never seen one. I didn’t even know they existed! It took working on a guest ranch for me to discover this wonderful fluffy animal.
How to Paint an Alpaca in Photoshop Alpaca speed painting

After rummaging through pictures of my time on the ranch, looking for inspiration, I stumbled upon photos of alpacas. I couldn’t resist, I had to paint one! I made this alpaca speed painting video while creating the portrait in Photoshop, thinking it would be cool to see the whole process once I was done. It shows how I use Photoshop to create my artworks.

This alpaca painting is called “Colorful Happiness”. I wanted to capture the cuteness of the animal with bright and cheerful colors. Watch how I created it!

I love making speed paintings videos, it’s so much fun to watch how I created something once the illustration is finished. Kinda like magic! As you can see in the video, I started with a different color scheme at first. In the end, I wasn’t entirely satisfied with it so I played with the color settings in Photoshop and I ended up making the painting more colorful.

This happens a lot. I end up with something different than what I had in mind. It’s like my animal paintings have a life of their own. Digital art truly is amazing!
